For Catherine Avery, in a post 911 world, Wall Street and the corporate rat race no longer held the same appeal. Catherine was getting engaged, thinking about a family and wondering how she would fit children into a 5am-10pm Wall Street lifestyle. As she explored her career options, her friends were quick to point out her hobby – redesigning apartments and flipping them.

Catherine took a course in basic drawing and drafting and fell in love with the design process. Far and away her favorite course was Commercial Design, so after a detour through a few years of the more traditional path of home design, she came back to her first love and rebranded to Resovate Office Design. There is nothing Catherine enjoys more than giving small business owners an office environment they love to work in. A great work space leads to much greater productivity which means that the profits surely follow.
